TV Mounting and Display Installation

Mounted into actual framing, at a height you can watch for three hours, with the cable inside the wall.

A display that comes off a wall was never held by the bracket. Brackets are rated far beyond what a modern television weighs. What fails is the fastener, and it fails because it was in drywall rather than framing. Where a stud is not in the right place there are legitimate answers, including a backer board spanning two studs, but plastic anchors carrying a display is not one of them regardless of what the package claims.

Height is the other thing people regret. A display mounted where it looked good in a photograph is often too high to watch comfortably through a whole movie, and that is felt in the neck rather than seen. Cable routing is the third: running power and signal inside the wall to a properly installed outlet and low-voltage plate is what makes the install look finished. The power side of that has to be done to code, and where a new circuit or outlet is genuinely needed it belongs to a licensed electrician.
